Buy the cheap Walmart/Old Navy flipflops and save your $$ ! May 05, 2010
I mainly bought these for the color (gold) and to see what the big fuss is about. I usually buy $2-$3 flip flops. They are constructed the same exact way as the cheap ones, same thickness, same cushion, similar straps (exactly the same as some of the cheap ones I own, minus the logo) The only difference I can see besides the logo, is that Havianas are made in Brazil and the cheap-o ones are made in China. I included pictures in this review to show that. They are as comfortable as the cheap ones, but I wouldn't buy them again because...well, why pay more for something if you don't have to. So unless your super fussy about HAVING to have 'name brand' shoes with a visible logo then I wouldn't waste the money on them. They are just regular flip-flops! However, the seller was great. Super fast shipping and packaged well. For the price I paid for these I could have gotten 5 or 6 pair of the identical flip-flop. Lesson learned!

Sizing Not Consistent! Try them on in a store! Mar 02, 2010
Overall a very comfortable sandal, right up there with reefs as long as you like rubber straps. The soles are quite cushy. However, beware...I ordered two pairs of these flip flops, one in black and one in brown, same style and size. Just received them today and couldn't wait to try them on. Turns out that while they are stamped with the same size 37/38, the black ones are a good half inch shorter than the brown ones. I wear a US7.5-8, and the "larger" brown ones fit fine, but the black ones are almost too small, I foresee stubbing my toes. My suggestion is to buy them in the store if you can, but if you want to get a good deal and buy them online, buy the next size up!

If the sizing was consistent, I would definitely give these 5 stars.

OK I ordered six pairs of these. I sware the button that says 39-40 also states that that size equals US size 8-9. I got them in the mail and they were a size 7-8. But some were marked 7-8 and fit me fine, while others were marked 7-8 on the band and on the bottom they were marked a size 5-6. So all in all I kept three pairs that fit and I have to return the three pairs that don't. Don't buy online. It is not worth the price. Trust me, you will pay with it in frustration. Find a place to buy in store. But I must say, J Crew makes really great flip flops that last for years. 15 dollars a pair. And they run true to size. So go with them instead.

I love these flip flops. I have several pairs now and enjoy every pair I have gotten. They are a bit more than the average flip flop. But they last longer and the rubber really is cushy. I got them in lime and the color is very true to the color shown.
